Inc. 500 Accounting Educators Expand into Canada

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (February 6, 2007) - Universal Accounting®, an Inc. 500 company, now offers customized accounting and bookkeeping training courses in Canada. The move marks Universal's ongoing commitment to support bookkeepers and small business owners in the country. Universal will begin presenting bookkeeping seminars in Canada in March, promoting programs nationwide.

Universal's cornerstone course, the Professional Bookkeeper™ (PB) program includes a supplement highlighting Canadian payroll taxes. The supplement updates the PB program with verbiage and forms specific to payroll taxes in the country.

The Professional Bookkeeper™ program trains individuals in accounting and bookkeeping skills for small businesses. The 60 hour course is led by a video instructor who guides students through four workbooks. In the course students manage records for 11 different small businesses, giving a broad education in small business finances. Students passing the final exam with a 90 percent or better will receive the PB designation, showing their competency in small business bookkeeping.

Universal Accounting® is an accounting specific trade school offering accounting, bookkeeping, marketing and tax training to students throughout the world. Skills are taught through classroom trainings or through a patented home-study course, allowing students to learn at their own pace. In August, 2006, Universal Accounting® debuted on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States.
